The terrorists had knocked on the door of the police officer's house waving AK-47. As soon as Fayaz opened the door, the terrorists opened fire. Meanwhile, his daughter Rafia, who ran to save her parents, was also shot dead by terrorists. As a result, Bhat's daughter-in-law Saima, who was feeding her child, was also at home.

The same terrorists slammed the child to the ground and kicked both of them. Saima said, 'I begged him for his life, but he didn't spare my child. I didn't dare scream for fear of shooting me like my in-laws. I picked up my child and ran to another room. It was only when the terrorists left that I was shocked and I started crying loudly.'
