Lucknow: A controversial statement of Samajwadi Party (SP) Lok Sabha MP Shafiqur Rahman Burke from Sambhal in Uttar Pradesh has come to the fore, blaming the BJP and the government for the hijab controversy in Karnataka. Burke argued that the hijab is an integral part of Islam, arguing that when girls wear a hijab, their body is covered and it does not bother men. Wearing hijab will reduce the incidents of rape. In an interview, the SP MP said on the statement of the terrorist organization Al Qaeda about Hijab that, 'Know these Al Qaeda people, I do not mean it.

Hijab is compulsory in Islam and it is a religious matter. There is no government issue. Whatever has been done by the government or the people of Karnataka on this is wrong. According to Islam, when a girl becomes young, she should remain in the veil. If she goes to school or college wearing a hijab, what is wrong with that? Hijab is mandatory in Islam. He said that the hijab controversy is a conspiracy of the government. It is not the job of the government to interfere in such religious issues. Shafiqur Rahman further said, 'I am in support of Hijab. Islam says that a girl should wear a hijab. If the girl does not stay in the screen, then she is in danger.

If it is in the curtain, then the part of his body will be covered. Otherwise people will look at him with bad eyes in the open. This will worsen the situation. Burke, comparing European civilization and Indian civilization, said that even today the women of India live in veils, whereas in Europe everything remains open. The SP MP claims that if women remain in the screen, then the atrocities against them will reduce. Staying in hijab will reduce incidents like rape, molestation. Let us inform that earlier the SP MP had also supported the killing of Babar Ali in Kushinar. Burke justified the assassination of Babur by saying that it was Babur's mistake to support the BJP, while celebrating the victory of the BJP over it was a bigger mistake.
