Srinagar: In the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, in the early hours of Wednesday (30 March 2022), security forces have killed two terrorists in an encounter. IGP of Jammu and Kashmir Police Vijay Kumar has told that, 'Two local terrorists of Lashkar-e-Taiba and TRF have been killed in the Srinagar encounter. Both have been involved in the killings of civilians.

The police officer has said that one of the slain terrorists, Rais Ahmed Bhat, used to be a journalist before becoming a terrorist and used to run an online portal named 'Valley News Service' in Anantnag district. The police has also issued his press identity card. At the same time, the second terrorist killed in the encounter is Hilal Ah Raah. He was a 'C' category terrorist and was a resident of Bijbehara.
