Srinagar: A burqa-clad terrorist hurled a grenade at a newly opened liquor shop in Baramulla district of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday (May 17, 2022), killing an employee and injuring three others. Went. Police have told that at around 8 pm, two bike-borne terrorists stopped near the new liquor shop located in Dewan Bagh area of ​​Baramulla. After this, a terrorist sitting on the bike wearing a burqa landed and attacked the shop with a grenade.

Police further said that after committing the crime, both of them fled on a bike. At the same time, four employees working in the shop have been injured in the attack, who have been admitted to a nearby hospital for treatment. where one of them has died. The condition of the other three injured is said to be critical. Police also said that the deceased has been identified as Ranjit Singh (52), a resident of Rajouri district. The injured have been identified as Govardhan Singh and Ravi Singh, residents of Kathua and Govind Singh, residents of Rajouri. He said that Govind Singh has been referred to a hospital in Srinagar for treatment. Senior police officers immediately reached the spot and cordoned off the area and search for the terrorists has been started.
