Srinagar. In Jammu and Kashmir, militants have kidnapped the families of policemen living in different areas of South Kashmir. According to sources, Terrorists abducted 9 relatives of policemen in 3 districts of South Kashmir in the last 2 days.

 The militants launched the incident when the NIA arrested the second son of Hizbul Mujahideen's wanted terrorist Syed Salahuddin on Thursday. After the incident, Jammu and Kashmir Police are also conducting various search operations in Jammu and Kashmir for the entire state. So far, Jammu and Kashmir Police has not issued any official statement in this matter, and it has said that they are exploring all the reports related to the kidnapping.

A police official told The Hindu that four to seven persons have been kidnapped.

Local officials said that the terrorists abducted at least five people from Shopian, Kulgam, Anantnag and Avantipora and all the abducted people belonged to the Jammu and Kashmir Police force. The arrested persons are SHO Najir Ahmed's brother Arif, brother of DSP Ejaz, son of Arvani's policeman, Son of policeman Rafiq Ahmed Rathar, son of ASI Bashir Ahmed, Yasir Ahmed, son of policeman Mohammad Maqbool Bhatt, son of Abdul Salam, son of Abdul Salam Summar Ahmad Rathar among kidnapped people.
