Patna: Amidst the uproar over the Agneepath scheme, the statement of Ram Surat Rai, a minister in the Bihar government, is in the news. He has alleged that terrorists and political goons are behind the violence. He said that terrorists and goons were "hired" by political parties to stage violent protests against the scheme.

"Terrorists and goons were behind the protest. They were hired and used by political parties. His statement came a day after BJP MLA Hari Bhushan Thakur compared the Agneepath protesters to jihadis. However, he did not name any party. At present, Ram Surat Rai holds the revenue department.

Earlier, BJP leaders like Union Minister Giriraj Singh had alleged that the opposition RJD was behind the violence and arson in the state last week. Let us know that the Agneepath scheme is being opposed the most in Bihar and there have been tremendous violent protests in the last several days. In such a situation, the fire of this scheme has probably also scorched the relationship between the BJP and the JDU. Recently, Bihar BJP President Sanjay Jaiswal had directly alleged that bjp offices were being blown up and the police remained mute spectators. However, on this statement, the JDU leaders also jumped to respond and now after that the round of meetings had started.
