Srinagar: Terror incidents have suddenly increased in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir. Terrorists are targeting the common people in Jammu and Kashmir. Amidst all this, former Jammu and Kashmir Governor and now Meghalaya Governor Satya Pal Malik has made a big statement on terrorist activities. Satyapal Malik has also made a statement on terrorist activities during his tenure.

According to media reports, Meghalaya Governor Satya Pal Malik has said that during my tenure as governor of Jammu and Kashmir, terrorists could not even come 50-100 kilometres to Srinagar. He further said that no terrorist could enter the Srinagar border at that time, but today terrorists are killing the poor in Srinagar. Satyapal Malik has termed the killings as tragic.

Satyapal Malik is also the last Governor of Jammu and Kashmir. As soon as Satyapal Malik was governor, Section 370 of the Constitution was removed from Jammu and Kashmir. It was during Satyapal Malik's tenure that the state of Jammu and Kashmir was reconstituted to a Union Territory and Leh Ladakh was made a separate Union Territory.
