The start of production on the Tesla Cybertruck may have been delayed yet again. Despite a full order book and a lot of excitement for an electric vehicle that claims to have the power of a pickup but the performance of a sportscar, the Tesla Cybertruck has yet to hit production lines. The first manufacturing timeline for the Tesla Cybertruck has been pushed back to 2023.

Tesla had stated previously that manufacturing of the electric pickup will begin at its newest Texas site by the end of the calendar year. According to the same article, the most recent delay is due to Tesla wanting to upgrade some features and functionalities of the Cybertruck in order to make it a compelling option for customers, especially because more rivals have entered the market since the Cybertruck was initially shown.

There's a hot struggle going on in the electric pickup truck area, and Cybertruck hasn't even entered the fray yet.

GM was represented by its Hummer EV, while Ford was represented by its F-150 Electric. There's also the Chevrolet Silverado EV and the Rivian R1T, to name a few.

Tesla CEO Elon Musk, on the other hand, has repeatedly praised Cybertruck and its potential to dominate the market. The Cybertruck is expected to come in a variety of models with different battery packs and motors. The EV is predicted to have a range of nearly 1,000 kilometres per charge at its most competent. It can also fire at 100 kmph in 6.5 seconds while carrying a payload of 3,500 pounds.

While the Tesla Cybertruck is a powerful electric vehicle, there is no doubting that it has kept the world waiting for quite some time. It would be fascinating to see whether there are any now.
