New Delhi: A great star from the cricketing world passed away on Thursday evening. Shane Warne, who took the highest 708 wickets in Test cricket for Australia, died of a heart attack at the age of 52. Everyone is shocked to hear this news of Warne. Former England captain Michael Vaughan, who was the biggest enemy of Australian players on the cricket field, was also a good friend of Warne off the field.

Michael Vaughan was deeply hurt by the death of this legendary leg-spinner and posted on social media telling fans about the last Christmas he spent with Warne. Along with this, the former England captain also told how great Shane was off the field. Michael wrote in his Instagram post that, 'I can't tell you how hard it is to put into words.. It's not real to talk about someone who was once your enemy on the field, who is outside of mine. Became best friend.. Shane was the greatest cricketer of all time, but he kept his character lighting up every dressing room, commentary box, bar, golf club and friendship group.. His energy and positivity stood out. He was loyal too.

Michael further wrote that, 'I will never forget the warmth that he and his family gave me this winter, when I was alone during Christmas. Sad to say that I celebrated last Christmas with him and his family.. We all eat turkey, beef, the usual Christmas trimmings and he sticks to his lasagne sandwiches with bread rolls with butter. .He is Warne...Superstar..Greatest..Friend of world's superstar..everyone wanted to be around him, but in the end he was just a normal man who could do unbelievable things".
