The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) will kick off its election campaign for the Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections in 2022 with a mega rally in Lucknow at the end of November. Arvind Kejriwal, the party's national convenor and Delhi Chief Minister, will speak at the rally. The response they received during their recent 'bijli yatras,' during which they spoke to people about the party's poll promises of free power, free education, and free health, has AAP leaders in a good mood.

According to a senior party official, "Our internal polls show a strong positive trend in AAP's favour, and it's past time for us to take advantage of the public mood. Kejriwal had been focusing on assembly elections in Punjab and Uttarakhand, which are both expected to take place around the same time as the Uttar Pradesh elections, but given the state's response, he is likely to spend more time here now."
Kejriwal's confidence has been boosted as a result of his visit to Ayodhya, as evidenced by his inclusion of the holy city on the list of religious sites for which the Delhi government runs a special 'teerth yatra scheme.' "We did not expect Yogi Adityanath to mention Kejriwal's recent visit to Ayodhya, but the fact that he spent so much time talking about us means that AAP has established a strong presence that is unnerving the ruling party," the functionary added. In response to Adityanath's comments,  What is your problem if people from Delhi are given easy access to Ayodhya?" Kejriwal said.
