Anupam Kher and Akshaye Khanna's film 'The Accidental Prime Minister’ is creating quite buzz since it announcement. This is biopic of former Prime Minister of India Manmohan Singh and based on the controversial book of the same name by Baru.  In this movie Kher will be portraying the character of former PMIndia, Manmohan Singh while Akshaye is playing the role of Sanjaya Baru, political analyst and commentator. Now, the filmmakers have dropped the trailer of the film which looks promising.

The trailer offers a behind-the-scenes look at the UPA administration. It highlights Dr Singh’s alleged conflicts with his party and especially former Congress President Sonia Gandhi, who seems to be constantly pushing for her son, Rahul even as Singh grapples with one complicated political crisis after another.

In the trailer Anupam Kher is shining as Dr Manmohan Singh while Akshaye Khanna as Baru steals the show.

The film also stars Arjun Mathur and Aahana Kumra in key roles and given that the characters are all playing real-life personalities, Helmed by Vijay Ratnakar Gutte, the film is all set to hit the theatres on January 11, 2019 and will clash at the box office with Vicky Kaushal Starrer Uri: The Surgical Strike.
