Mumbai: The Sessions Court of Mumbai, Maharashtra has rejected the anticipatory bail plea of ​​actor Shaan Mishra alias Shashank Mishra. He is accused of raping his colleague actress. Mishra has worked in films like Bullet Raja, Dum Laga Kar Haisha. Along with this, he has also done a small role in the film Student of the Year. Some time ago, he was accused of rape by a co-star who worked with him in a web series. 

Actually, both were playing lead roles in 'Lovepanti' web series. It is being said that both of them met due to the web series and both started dating each other. The victim has alleged that Mishra promised to marry her and had physical relations with her despite her protests. In her complaint, the victim has said that after 11 months of relationship, she came to know that the accused was already in a live-in relationship with another woman and when she asked the accused actor about it, both of them agreed to be best friends. pretended to But when the victim was convinced that the culprit was cheating her, she filed a case under sections 376(2)(n), 377, 506, 509 of IPC at Goregaon Police Station, Mumbai.

On the other hand, the 32-year-old accused actor told the court through his advocate Shailendra Mishra that the actor was already in a relationship with another woman since 2021 and the victim knew about it very well. Even after this he tried to establish a relationship with her. The criminal, originally from Dehradun, said that he had also blocked the phone of the victim as she was continuously harassing him and that a false case has been registered against him. On the other hand, the prosecution as well as the victim's advocate Shreyansh Mithare opposed the bail plea. 

Mithare said that the offender in his plea has completely denied having a relationship with the girl, besides admitting that he was already in a relationship with another woman and the victim was aware of the same. Mithare pointed to some intimate chats between the perpetrator and the victim, which according to him proved that they were in a relationship. Mithare submitted in the court that the law states that consent obtained under a misconception of fact is not and thus prayed for dismissal of the petition. The sessions court dismissed Mishra's petition after hearing both the sides.
