After the match, Afghan captain Gulbadin Naib said his team had to give up Eoin Morgan's catch. When Morgan was playing only 40, Dalwat Jordan dropped Morgan's catch on Rashid Khan's ball. After which Morgan took full advantage of this life-giving and beat the Afghan bowlers. His batting was that Morgan hit a century with just 57 balls to bat. And, on 71 balls, they were all out for 148 runs.

At the same time, Gulbadin said that the way England's players played after 30 overs was special. He added that Morgan's innings today was one of the best innings he saw in cricket. Praising his bowler Mujibur Rahman, he said that Mujib bowled very well but unfortunately Rashid proved costly for us today and he did not get any wickets.
