Babri demolition case: Allahabad High Court will hear petition against acquittal of all 32 accused

Uttar Pradesh: The Lucknow bench of the Allahabad High Court has deferred hearing on a petition filed in the disputed structure demolition case in Ayodhya. The petition was lodged against the decision to acquit all the 32 convicts including Lal Krishna Advani, Murli Manohar Joshi. Today, it has been postponed for two weeks. The petitioners told the court today, "they need some more time to rectify some of the loopholes in their plea. '

This petition was listed before the bench of Judge Rakesh Srivastava. The judge has now instructed to list the matter after two weeks for a hearing. The petition has been lodged on behalf of Ayodhya resident Haji Mehboob Ahmad and Syed Morals Ahmad on January 8. The petitioner is being described as a victim of the incident. Both the persons who filed the petition are witnesses in the case as well as the victims of the disputed structure demolition incident.

The petitioners say no appeal has been filed so far against the decision to acquit the accused in the demolition. The petitioners have sought to convict all the 32 accused in the petition. On 30th September 2020, the CBI Special Court, Ayodhya case acquitted all the surviving 32 accused including L.K. Advani, Murli Manohar Joshi, Kalyan Singh, Uma Bharti, Sakshi Maharaj, Lallu Singh, Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh and Mahant Nitgopal Das.
