Riyadh: As he unveiled the newest project intended to boost Saudi Arabia's tourism industry, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman revealed that Sindalah, the first luxury island destination in NEOM, will be home to superyachts and high-end apartments.

Sindalah, one of a group of islands that will be developed as part of the giga-project, will cover an area of roughly 840,000 square metres, and it is anticipated to generate 3,500 jobs for the tourism industry, hospitality, and leisure services.

According to the Saudi Press Agency, the island will serve as a major entrance to the Red Sea and provide distinctive nautical experiences. It is anticipated to begin receiving visitors in early 2024.

"Sindalah will be NEOM's first upscale island and yacht club location in the Red Sea, offering a picturesque entrance to the area's most exciting and alluring tourist destination.

"It will be a place where visitors can take in both the above- and below-water beauty of NEOM and Saudi Arabia, making Sindalah the future of luxury travel."

The Crown Prince stated, "This is another important turning point for NEOM and an important step in the Kingdom realising its tourism ambitions under Vision 2030."

"Sindalah will be NEOM's first exclusive island and yacht club location in the Red Sea, providing an attractive entrance to the region's most exciting and alluring tourist destination.

The "Glamour season," which will coincide with the busiest time for yachting events, will last from March to May and then from October to November. During the glamour season, guests will have exclusive access to concerts, fashion shows, and food festivals.

From June to September, the busy season, visitors can enjoy a variety of beach and recreational activities that are suitable for families.

The launch of Sindalah is a significant step toward realising the Kingdom's tourism ambitions, in line with the objectives outlined in Vision 2030, according to Mohammed bin Salman, who also serves as the chairman of the NEOM Board of Directors.

In addition to 333 luxury serviced apartments and 413 ultra-premium hotel rooms, Sindalah will have an 86-berth marina.

A posh beach club, a yacht club, and 38 different restaurants that will give you an unmatched Red Sea experience are among Sindalah's additional attractions.

By giving enthusiasts access to a top-notch 6,474-yard (5,920-meter) par 70 course, Sindalah is also anticipated to grow in popularity as a golfing vacation spot. The Sindalah golf course will offer two distinct nine-hole experiences thanks to its 18 tees.

One of the most significant initiatives supporting Saudi Arabia's national tourism strategy is NEOM, the $500 billion smart city, as the country gradually diversifies its economy after being reliant on oil for many years.

The CEO of NEOM, Nadhmi Al-Nasr, stated that the hanging stadiums in the smart city will cause visitors to reimagine and visualise the future in November at the World Travel and Tourism Council Global Summit.

We want people to visit The Line to see how and where sports stadiums are constructed. According to Al-Nasr, the sports arenas in NEOM are 300 metres tall, flimsy, and suspended in midair.

The industrial city of NEOM, OXAGON, he continued, has the potential to develop into a premier tourist destination where travellers can come and experience what the future will hold.

"All industries will be located in OXAGON, which is also NEOM's port. However, we would like to see visitors stay in Oxagon for a day or two. They will observe how industries will develop in OXAGON. NEOM was constructed with the future in mind. We'd like for them to visit and see how future sea ports will operate,” he added.
