The annual Brahmotsavam is being held in the Tiruchanur temple

Tirupati:In view of the outbreak of the Covid-19 epidemic, the annual Brahmotsavam is being held at the Tiruchanur temple in solitude this year. Keeping this in mind, Tirupur SP Awula Ramesh Reddy on Wednesday inspected the security arrangements at the padmavathi ammavardevi's annual Brahmotsavam venue in Tiruchur.

SP Reddy along with other officials of the police department inspected the forest mandap, four mada roads and many other places near the Tiruchunur temple. The 9-day annual festival was ordered by the Eastern Sub-Divisional Police to ensure that no untoward incident sparked. The event goes easily.

On Wednesday, Dwarajohanam was on a great start with the program. It is customary to bring lakh saffron. According to ancient traditions, Padmavathi Devi - the wife of Venkateswara - was officially brought to the Sri Krishna Mandap, located inside the main temple premises. Usually, lakhs of devotees attend the lakh saffron festival held in the temple every year, while this year Covid-19 security protocol has provided the devotees with the facility to participate online. TTD sources said that about 603 devotees participated in the virtual puja.
