Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan for playing the role Haryana's wrestler Mahavir Phogat in his last release film Dangal has won this year's Filmfare Award for Best Actor Male.

Aamir just not won the trophy only but also he won the hearts of audience and critics. Divya Rao, the Creative Producer of UTV Motion Pictures when in an interview asked if Aamir Khan has said no to the film then who would have taken up the role.

She answered, "Oh in that case, the only other actors who come to mind are Mohanlal and Kamal Haasan."

Divya added, "We needed someone who would take that kind of effort. And when we finally got a chance to narrate the story to Aamir, he gave us the word saying he’d love to do it."

“There was a screening for the Phogat family too, and I was very nervous about that. After the film, I asked Mahavirji what he thought about it, and he told me that his eyes were just as misty as mine were, when I had first heard his story,” she added further.
