Army Chief M M Naravane said on Friday that the Indian Army was further strengthened in the face of challenges on the unstable borders of the West and north during the Corona transition. General Narwane said that he has always said that wars are not fought between two armies but between two countries.

His remarks come at a time when the Indian Army reported that the Indian and Chinese forces have completed the process of withdrawing their troops at the Gogra confrontation point in eastern Ladakh and restored the ground situation to the same pre-deadlock period. At the inaugural function of the Golden Jubilee (1971-2021) of the Television Wing of the Indian Institute of Cinema and TV (FTII), General Narwane praised the role of mainstream cinema in strengthening basic values, preserving the country's diverse culture, and inspiring it in times of danger.

However, the Army Chief said that officers of Indian army forces should avoid showing up on a "pattern". "I would like to speak in a light manner," the Army Chief said. I have always found that Indian (armed forces) officers are shown in a shading manner in cinema.
