Tummy control
The waistband should hit just below your belly button, so that it will cover your stomach and rein in the problem area. Also look for a wide waistband and a bit of stretch; both will provide a subtle, girdle like effect.
Fuller figures
The waistband should hit at the hipbone or the belly button. This way, it won’t cut into the body at the widest spot. To hold in and slim the thighs, opt for a rigid fabric that has no more than 2 percent stretch.
Flat butts
The larger back pockets are great for accenting your backside, as are jeans that provide more coverage, making your curves appear lager than they are.
Large thighs
Wide-leg flares and those made of a special stretch denim should be your go-to options.
Pear and triangular body shapes
Bootcut or flares – These will help balance out the hips and keep your legs in proportion with the extra fabric around the calves.
Higher rises - I recommend buying your jeans with a higher rise as they are very balancing to your shape, plus they hide a multitude of sins if you suffer from muffin top issues like so many of us do.
