Bangalore: The body of Indian student Naveen Shekharappa, who was killed in Ukraine, has been brought to the Bangalore airport. Here Karnataka CM Basavaraj Bommai paid tribute to the body after reaching the airport. CM Bommai said that it is unfortunate that our child Naveen Shekharappa lost his life in Ukraine. It was very difficult to bring Naveen's body here from Ukraine. This is a matter of great courage.

He further said that our Prime Minister, Foreign Minister and Government have done this. I thank them all. Significantly, Naveen, a final year medical student at the Kharkiv National Medical University, was killed in a Russian attack on March 1. The flight from Ukraine carrying Naveen's body reached Bengaluru airport at 3 am on Monday. After Naveen's death, the Karnataka government provided financial assistance of Rs 25 lakh to his family and announced a government job for one member of the family.

Let us inform that Naveen's father, who decided to donate his son's body, said, 'My son wanted to do something in the medical sector, which did not happen. At least his body can be used by other students for studies. That's why we family members have decided to donate his body for medical research.
