Ranchi: Finance Minister Rameshwar Oraon has presented a total budget of Rs 1 lakh, 1 thousand, 101 crores in Jharkhand for the financial year 2022-23. It has prioritized health, drinking water, education and food distribution. Health has been increased by 27 per cent, drinking water by 20 per cent, education by 6.5 per cent and food grain distribution by 21 per cent as compared to the previous budget. Senior Jharkhand Pradesh Congress Committee leaders Alok Kumar Dubey, Lal Kishorenath Shahdeo and Dr Rajesh Gupta Chhotu today welcomed the budget presented in the Assembly and said that it will prove to be a milestone in the creation of a new Jharkhand. The party leaders also met CM Hemant Soren and Finance Minister Dr Rameshwar Oraon to present the ambitious budget and convey their best wishes to them.

Senior Congress leader Alok Kumar Dubey said that the development-oriented budget has been presented by considering social sectors like health, drinking water and food distribution as the main point. In the wake of the global pandemic in Corona, steps are being taken swiftly towards fulfilling every promise made in the election manifesto under the able leadership of Finance Minister Dr Rameshwar Oraon and under the guidance of CM Hemant Soren in all adverse circumstances. In this order, it has been decided to provide 100 units of free electricity to the poor and farmers to provide relief in electricity bills. For the first time since the formation of a separate Jharkhand state, the state government has decided to provide pulses to 60 lakh families per month through the Public Distribution System to provide nutritious food to the people of the state.

At the same time, senior state Congress leader Lal Kishorenath Shahdeo said that the 27 per cent increase in the health sector shows that the government wants to provide good infrastructure to the people in the field of health. It has also been decided by the state government to provide air ambulance facilities at cheaper rates. While giving self-employment to 40 thousand beneficiaries, a target has been set to increase the source of income. Children will be given warm dresses in Anganwadi centres, labs of mathematics and science and 42,000 tabs will be provided to teachers.
