Rewa: A class 8 student of Navodaya School in Sidhi committed suicide. Before committing suicide, the student left a suicide note in which he told why he took this suicidal step. A teacher had scolded him for stealing another student's belongings in the class. The police are investigating on the basis of this suicide note. The incident took place in Padkhuri 588 village in the Sidhi district of Madhya Pradesh.
Amit Prajapati was a student of Class 8 in Navodaya Vidyalaya Churhat. He had stolen some belongings of another class student. The student complained about this to the teacher. When the teacher examined the child, the goods were recovered from him. On December 19, teacher Ajit Pandey allegedly beat Amit in front of another student in the class. It had a profound effect on his mind. Since then he was under stress. The child hanged himself at home.
On December 20, the school management reported the theft to Amit's family. On receiving the information, the student's father reached the school and brought Amit home on December 20. Amit's mother explained a lot to the child that mistakes do happen, and do not spoil your mind. But Amit could not forget the humiliation done in front of his friends. After 14 days of the incident, he hanged himself. Amit has two brothers and a sister in addition to his parents. Amit was the youngest boy in the family.
