Sidhi: Former Congress President and MP Rahul Gandhi has attacked the case of police misbehavior with some persons including journalists in Sidhi district of Madhya Pradesh. He has called it a rip-off of the fourth pillar of democracy. Attacking the Bharatiya Janata Party government at the Center as well as Madhya Pradesh, Rahul wrote that the government of 'New India' is afraid of the truth.

On this matter, Rahul Gandhi tweeted, 'The fourth pillar of democracy in the lockup' was ripped off! Either sit in the lap of the government and sing their praises, or go to jail. The government of 'New India' is afraid of truth. Let us tell you that in Sidhi district of Madhya Pradesh, police had misbehaved with a journalist and some of his associates by taking them into custody. The police took off the clothes in the police station and its photo went viral. On this the opposition surrounded the Shivraj government of the state. Thereafter, the state government has also taken action after taking cognizance of this matter. CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan has taken action against two policemen. The Chief Minister has also called for a report.

For the bad behavior of the same journalists, orders were issued to suspend the station in-charge and an SI and attach the line. Thereafter, Sidhi district's SP Mukesh Kumar Srivastava put police station in-charge Kotwali Manoj Soni and Amilia police station in-charge Abhishek Singh on the line. It was told that some persons protesting were arrested by the police, after which their clothes were taken off and a procession was taken out in the police station.
