New Delhi: India's own Tata Motors has introduced the CNG version of its Altroz hatchback. It is available in six variants, with a starting price of Rs. 7.55 lakh. The car has a stylish design and a tech-rich interior with a sunroof, which are its highlights. It is powered by a 1.2-liter Revotron engine that produces 77 horsepower when running on compressed natural gas.

Tata Motors debuts its twin-cylinder configuration for CNG tanks with the Altroz iCNG. It takes up some boot space and is installed beneath the floor.Additionally, it is the first hatchback powered by CNG to be sold with a sunroof.

The four-wheeler competes against the Toyota Glanza CNG and Maruti Suzuki Baleno CNG in our market. The car has a competitive price and should see respectable sales.

The Tata Altroz iCNG features sweptback projector headlamps with LED DRLs, a wide air dam, a blacked-out grille, and a sculpted bonnet. It has sharp body lines, ORVMs that are mounted on indicators, black pillars on either side, and 16-inch alloy wheels.

The rear is adorned with a tailgate-mounted 'iCNG' badge, wraparound taillamps, and a roof-mounted antenna. The car comes in three dual-tone and four monochromatic colour options.

The 1.2-liter engine powering the Tata Altroz iCNG produces 77 hp/103 nm of CNG mode and 88 hp/115 nm of petrol mode. It has a 19.3 km/kg (CNG form) mileage rating. A 5-speed manual gearbox is in charge of gearbox.

A voice-activated single-pane sunroof, a wireless charger, an air purifier, auto climate control, and a multifunctional steering wheel are all included in the roomy five-seater interior of the Tata Altroz iCNG.

It has a 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with support for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, as well as a digital instrument cluster. Multiple airbags, ABS, EBD, and a rear-view camera all protect the passengers.

The Tata Altroz iCNG has a starting price of Rs. 7.55 lakh for the entry-level XE model and a maximum price of Rs. 10.55 lakh for the top-of-the-line XZ+O (S) trim in India (all prices, ex-showroom).
