New Delhi: A three-member expert committee created by the Supreme court regarding the new agricultural laws brought by the central government has submitted its report in a sealed envelope to the Supreme court. Seema Narwane, the woman president of the Shetkari organization, said that this report has been submitted to the Supreme Court only on March 19. The committee will soon make more information public through a press release.

The committee appointed by the Supreme court consists of agriculture experts and Anil Dhanwat, Ashok Gulati and Pramod Joshi related to Shetkari organizations. The committee was formed by the Supreme Court on 11 January. Along with Dhanwat, agricultural economists Ashok Gulati and Pramod Kumar Joshi are other members of the committee. Farmer leader Bhupinder Singh Mann was also made a member of this committee, but he withdrew his name. Farmers' organizations are opposing this committee. He says that its members have already taken the side of the agricultural laws and the court has included them in the committee.

Since November last year, farmers' organizations have been demonstrating against the new agricultural laws. Farmers are camping at different borders in Delhi and are adamant on the demand for withdrawal of all three agricultural laws and legislation on MSP. Due to the performance of the farmers, the first four-member committee was formed by the Supreme Court. Farmer leader Bhupinder Singh Mann had separated himself from the four-member committee. After this, the committee became three members.
