Kolkata: Mamata Banerjee, CM of the province, has come clarifying over the controversy over the dining halls in Muslim-majority schools in West Bengal. TMC supremo Mamata Banerjee said on Friday that the central government's guideline is being followed in the circular. The circular clearly says that funds will be sent from the Minority Welfare Department in schools where the Muslim child population exceeds 70 percent. It is a purely technical matter.

Refuting the BJP's allegations, Mamata Banerjee said that we are funding various departments in schools so that the schemes can be implemented effectively. We are not doing the job of dividing any religion. In reality, the BJP has started protesting another order of the West Bengal Government. The state government has ordered the construction of dining halls for mid-day mills in aided schools, but these dining halls will be built in schools where more than 70 per cent of minority children study.

BJP questions Mamata government's order. West Bengal BJP President Dilip Ghosh has said that the state of dividing West Bengal is being done once again. People are being divided on the basis of religion. Mamata Banerjee's move is not correct. Mamata Banerjee has made a clean sweep after the controversy escalated.
