Betul: A big incident is coming to the fore from Betul in Madhya Pradesh, where the dead body of Baba, popularly known as Tilakdhari Maharaj, was found hanging in his house on Thursday evening. The relatives have expressed the possibility of murder, denying the claim of suicide. The police have started investigating the matter.

The case pertains to Bhadus village in the Betul Kotwali police station area. The body of Tilakdhari Maharaj alias Lokesh Taywade was found hanging in his own house. When the family members saw it, they informed the Kotwali police station. Police reached the scene and sent the body for postmortem. The dead body was handed over to the relatives after the postmortem on Friday. Further action will be taken after the postmortem report is received. Ritesh, the brother of the deceased, told investigators that Tilakdhari Maharaj did not commit suicide but was murdered. He told that two months ago they had a fight over the land.

Kotwali police station is in charge. Ajay Soni, who is probing the same incident, told that Tilakdhari Maharaj alias Lokesh Taywade had a fight over the land of the temple. The quarrel with the local people had further increased regarding the installation of the statue. This was also reported to the police. At that time, the matter was pacified by explaining to the people. On Thursday night, the police received information that Tilakdhari Maharaj had hanged himself. Thereafter, the police, along with the forensic team, reached the spot. The family members of the deceased have alleged murder. Police are probing all the points.
