Indore: The death toll due to the collapse of Beleshwar Mahadev Jhulelal Temple in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, has risen to 35. There, 18 people are said to be injured. The CM of Madhya Pradesh, Shivraj Singh Chouhan, is constantly monitoring the situation. Speaking to the media, Indore Collector Dr. Ilayaraja T said, "18 people were admitted to the hospital, of whom 2 have been discharged. 35 people have lost their lives. One person is still missing. Teams of the Army, NDRF, and SDRF are also conducting search and rescue operations.

Officials say that the Havan programme was held on Ram Navami at Beleshwar Mahadev Jhulelal Temple, located in the Patel Nagar area of Indore city. Meanwhile, a large crowd of devotees has gathered on the roof of the ancient stepwell in the temple. Meanwhile, the roof of the stepwell caved in. The local people have said that the temple was built by putting a roof over the ancient stepwell. The roof probably could not bear the burden of more people. Four to five feet of water were present in the 40-foot-deep stepwell. This temple is about 60 years old.

Officials say that, along with NDRF and SDRF, a team of 70 army personnel has been engaged in the operation. They are engaged in draining water from the stepwell and are still searching for the missing people after the incident.
