Omkareshwar: Everything from the school to the temple was closed due to the lockdown. But now the situation is becoming normal. Along with this, the doors of temples are also being opened. From 16 June, the doors of the Omkareshwar Jyotirlinga temple will open. Devotees coming from outside will have to be registered for darshan. After getting the token, devotees will be able to see Lord Omkareshwar from outside the sanctum sanctorum. The contact number for registration has not been released yet.

On Saturday, Collector Anay Dwivedi took a meeting of officials with the trust in Omkareshwar. It was decided that the temple will be opened in a phased manner for the devotees to visit. During the discussion with journalists, the collector informed that a token system will be implemented for Darshan. Contact number will be publicized for registration. The temple will be opened from June 16 on completion of preparations. More than one thousand devotees will not be able to see in 24 hours. No person will be allowed to stay in the temple premises.

Children below 10 years and citizen over 65 years of age will not be allowed to enter the temple. They will be made available online by installing TV screens in the city. Instructions have been given to the temple trust to install TV screens at the main place in the city. According to the guide line of the central and state government, hotels, Dharamsala and lodge will also be opened in a phased manner. Everyone has to follow the prescribed rules to stop the coronavirus.
