Noida: On Friday night, in yet another crime against women reported from Greater Noida, where a 55-year-old woman was allegedly gang-raped by five men. The police have not made any arrests in the case yet but the investigation is underway. The case reported that the Noida police have registered a case in the matter after a medical test on the woman confirmed rape. The Station House Officer told that they received the information that an elderly woman was lying in an unconscious state in a field close to her village.
Here it is to be noted that as per the FIR the woman sleeping outside her house when she was dragged to the field where the men gang-raped her. Reportedly, it also appeared several goods from the house were missing. However, the accused were identified as Sachin, Rohit, Ajay, Aakash and gaurav. The SHO added the accused face charges under the Indian Penal Code sections 395 (punishment for dacoity), 397 (robber/dacoity with attempt to cause death) and 376-D (rape by more than one person).
Meanwhile, the police told IE that they have found some jewellery pieces were also missing from the home and the room was vandalised. The police added they hope to make more recoveries once the accused are arrested and the interrogation will be conducted. However, further investigation in the case is underway.
