Bhopal: AAP president and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal is all set to enter Madhya Pradesh on the pretext of civic body elections. They will take elections in the state. The first meeting will be held in Singrauli on July 2. Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and Minister Manish Sisodia will also visit the state. State president Pankaj Singh said that visits of senior Aam Aadmi Party leaders are being conducted in the state. The tours in the first phase will be held till July 4 and in the second phase till July 11. On the other hand, AIMIM (All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen) is also holding meetings in the state.

After Punjab's victory, AAP is eyeing assembly elections in Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh in 2023. Since, in Madhya Pradesh, municipal elections are being held. Considering it as the semi-final of the assembly, the entire attention of AAP leaders is here. Party leaders say that through the civic body, the party is gaining roots in the state so that its benefits can be reaped in the elections to be held after a year and a half. That is why the party is also contesting the civic body elections for the first time.
