Some reports say that the name of the plumber is Kev Crane, who is a resident of Leicestershire, UK. The 50-year-old, who is living a simple life, came into the limelight when he recorded a song with music producer Paul Conneally. Conneally was first heard singing to Kev when he was doing repair work in his bathroom. This journey from a plumber to singer and then now Hollywood movie, Kev Crane's journey is very interesting.

While working as a plumber, Kev is also working on songwriting. During this time, when Paul Conneally heard him singing, he signed a singing contract with him and after a few his first album Why Can't I Be You? was released. His song also went viral, after which Conneally vocalised many more songs from Kev.
