Indore: The heart of India, Madhya Pradesh, will be connected to the International Air Space from July 15, as Air India is going to launch a direct flight from Devi Ahilyabai Holkar Airport in Indore to Dubai on the same day. It will be the first international flight from anywhere in the region.

Hemendra Singh Jadoon, secretary of the Madhya Pradesh-Chhattisgarh unit of the Travel Agents Association of India, told the media on Monday, "Air India has started booking tickets for Indore-Dubai flight (No.-AI 903). Air India's first flight on this route will start from July 15, he said, according to information available on the company's website that the flight will take off from Indore every week on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays.

The company will operate this flight through Airbus A-321 aircraft. The trip will take about four hours. With the issuance of a gazette notification of appointment of a civil authority for immigration check posts last month, the way to start the first international passenger flight from Devi Ahilyabai Holkar Airport was cleared.
