The flagship bike in TVS Motor's line-up, TVS Apache RR 310, is going to add a new variant soon. The fully-faired bike from TVS, which was launched in 2017, will now be available in two variants, with new variant's price set to be revealed before 28 May. Talking about the changes on this new variant of TVS Apache RR 310, these could include some design tweaks, and maybe even a new paint scheme on offer. On the mechanical front, there could be some tweaking to the engine ECU to increase the bike's power output.

And to complement this expected increased power output, TVS could also make some changes to the suspension setup of the motorcycle. However, the frame and chassis are likely to remain the same as that on the regular TVS Apache RR 310. Apart from these, we don't expect the TVS RR 310's new variant to feature any radical changes. So, the overall silhouette of the fully-faired bike will remain the same, with its sharp styling and mass-forward stance. The bike will make use of bi-LED twin projector headlamps with LED tail light. The new variant should also feature ram-air intakes to keep the engine temperature in check. Moving on to the instrument panel, the new variant is likely to borrow the unit from the regular RR 310; it is a vertically laid-out digital panel that has all the necessary readouts along with launch time recorder, lap timer, speed recorder, and a race diagnostics system.

The new variant of the TVS Apache RR 310 will continue to use the existing 312.2 cc liquid-cooled engine that delivers 33.52 bhp and 27.3 Nm of torque. This engine is paired to a six-speed manual gearbox. But, as mentioned before, this engine is likely to be carried forward in the new variant albeit in a slightly higher state of tune.

For suspension duties, the existing Apache RR 310 makes use of inverted cartridge telescopic forks and aluminium swingarm with mono tube gas assisted shock absorber. The suspension setup on the new variant of the RR 310 could be differently tuned to amp up the new bike's handling characteristics.

On the braking front, the existing bike uses a petal type 300 mm disc at the front and 240 mm disc at the rear. We expect this setup to be carried forward on the upcoming variant without any changes. The new variant of the TVS Apache RR 310 will most probably continue to use the dual-channel ABS for safety. The new TVS Apache RR 310 variant's price will likely be a little more than the outgoing variant, which, by the way, gets a price tag of ₹2.24 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
