The rape accused was beaten to death by a mob in Jalandhar, Punjab on Sunday. Jalandhar's ACP Harsimrat Singh said, "The crowd reached the spot and badly beaten the accused. After the incident was detected, the police reached the spot and took him to the hospital, where doctors declared him dead. He said that we got this morning that a person has raped an 11-year-old girl in Rama Mandi area, the accused was already beaten by the crowd, before we reached the spot, after that he died. The child is under treatment. Further investigations are ongoing.

Police said that 39-year-old Pappu Kumar was caught raping a girl in Rama Mandi area of ​​Jalandhar. He used to work as a labor. The police said that the accused live near the girl's house and took the victim away from her home and raped her. Upon hearing the girl's voice, people of the area reached the spot and caught the kumar while raping the minor.
