New Delhi: The government has announced a minimum pension of Rs 3000 per month to small business people across the country. The proposal for this effect was approved in the Union Cabinet meeting held here on Friday under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Narendra Madi.

According to information, Information and Broadcasting Minister Prakash Javadekar told in a press conference that this decision taken in the first meeting of the new government cabinet will benefit about three crore small traders. The general rule of this scheme will be similar to the declared pension scheme for workers of the unorganized sector. Businesses will get pension at the age of 60 years.

With this, he told that in this scheme, all the shopkeepers who make an annual turnover of 1.5 crore rupees and their business people will be able to join. The age of joining the scheme will be 18 to 40 years and enrollment can be made in the scheme through three lakh 25 thousand general service centers across the country.
