Ganga Prasad, the governor of Sikkim, has chosen to cut down on the number of cars in his convoy. Sikkim's chief minister, PS Tamang, confirmed this. CM Tamang said, "He (Sikkim governor Ganga Prasad) has chosen to reduce the number of cars in his convoy."

Governor Ganga Prasad allegedly made the announcement during a ceremony to open the Sikkim Raj Bhawan to the public on Monday evening. Governor Ganga Prasad has previously stated that people had the right to experience the spirit of the Raj Bhawan complex's rich legacy, citing Sikkim's lengthy history.

Legendary freedom warriors like Subhash Chandra Bose and Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel have monuments in the Sikkim Raj Bhavan. It also has a medicinal plant farm and scenic views. The Sikkim Raj Bhavan will be open for the public between 10 am to 12 pm in the morning and between 2 pm to 4 pm in the evening. There will also be no entry fee for visiting the Sikkim Raj Bhavan complex.
