The film 'Sita Manohar Shree Raghav' has been formally launched with a puja ceremony in Hyderabad today. With this film, Virat Raj, grandson of yesteryear handsome actor Harnath, is going to make his Tollywood debut. The Muhurta shot of the film started with the cameras commissioned by noted producer AM Ratnam and the Muhurta shot clap given by 'F2' fame Anil Ravipudi. Carrying on the legacy of his late grandfather Harnath, Virat Raj is making his acting debut with 'Sita Manohar Shri Raghav'. Virat Raj's grandparents Harnath and Venkata Subbaraju were both first noted actors.

'Sita Manohar Shree Raghav' is a romantic entertainer written and directed by Durga Srivatsa. Speaking about the film at the launch event, the director reportedly said, "I couldn't have got a better chance than this. The title itself turns him away from the film. It will have a lot of family elements and is designed to be a mass entertainer that will appeal to all sections of the audience,” said Durga Srivatsa. The film is produced by Sudhakar T under the banner of Vandana Movies. 'Saalar' fame Ravi Basrur is composing the music for the film with lyrics penned by Ramjogaiah Shastri. While Venkat is choreographing the fight sequences for the film, GM Shastri is the editor.
