There are many ancient historical buildings, gardens, and museums which are said to be haunted in It is said that there are many such places in this city, from where many horror stories are also connected. One of the haunted places is Putulbari Doll House. Almost everyone in Kolkata knows about this haunted doll house. The place is famous as Putul Bari, it is located at 22 Har Chandra Malik Lane, next to the circular railway track and near Shobha Bazar Ghat. 

It is one of the most adventurous places in the city and it takes a lot of courage to climb the stairs of the haunted and dark upper floor of Putul Bari. People avoid going there after sunset. The Haunted House of Kolkata and its past is very scary. Putulbari is a huge mansion in Showa Bazaar, Kolkata. Whereas in those days there was a lot of trade here and the poor people living here were slaves of these rich families. Since most of these houses were warehouses, the poor people living here were rented by the rich owners. It is said that the owners of the haveli used to take advantage of the women working there.

These women faced sexual assault and harassment for many years. However, later they would kill the women and bury them inside the property to cover up their crime. Such incidents happen frequently here too. Amidst all these, the owner's daughter had a strange attachment to the doll. She collected dolls of all sizes. The haveli used to have the largest collection of dolls. Her passion can be gauged from the strange doll sculpture outside the building.

 If legends are to be believed, the daughter who was addicted to the doll died in an accident and after her death the haveli became haunted. On the other hand, if we believe the stories, then many people have lost their lives here. You will be surprised to know that there are still some dolls in the haveli and these dolls are said to be haunted.
