New Delhi: The heat had started showing its sharp intensity as temperatures soared this time, even before Holi in the entire country. At the same time, hot winds have been blowing in many states of the country including Rajasthan, Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh since mid-March. The MET department has said that the rise in temperature in the country this year has broken the 121-year record of summer.

According to the IMD, India has recorded its warmest days in march, on average, in 121 years, with the maximum temperature recorded 1.86 degrees Celsius above normal across the country. This record-breaking figure was driven by large differences in the maximum temperature over northwest and central India. According to the IMD, India has recorded its hottest days in the month of March on average this year. According to statistics, the month of March has been the hottest recorded since 1901. In March 2022, the country's average maximum temperature was recorded at 33.01 degrees Celsius.

Meanwhile, the MET department said that north and central India are not yet likely to get relief from heatwave and heatwave conditions. According to the MET department's forecast, the entire month of April is likely to be dry. The national capital Delhi, Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and adjoining areas are likely to experience heatwave conditions in the first week of April.
