23 students from 7 different professions, at the Skoda vocational school, have delivered a new concept to the world of cars, popularly called, Sunroq.

For 8 months, the students worked on the idea of Cabriolet, based on SUV-Karoq, and hence the name was derived.

Cabriolet is being supposed as an ideal vehicle for summers since it is perfectly open to sun.

The company admitted that naming the car was quite a task.

The students, therefore, came up with an idea of inviting the Skoda customers over social media to suggest names for the venture. Hence the name, Sunroq came up.

According to Skoda, compact SUV which still is spacious would entice the youth.

The car would come with the familiar four-cylinder 1.5-litre TSI engine which shall provide a maximum speed of 204 Kmph and would catch 0-100 Kmph in just 8.4 seconds.

The venture’s body has been refurbished, yet its length and width remain same as the original model

Czech carmaker Skoda is well recognized to build strong secure and reliable cars.

Recently Skoda has added an innovation by providing its car, “Skoda Superb Estate” with bullet and blast resistance. It is a joint venture of Skoda with a UK based converter.
