WTC 2023: The Indian cricket team is again on the top of the table in the upcoming World Test Championship (WTC 2023) with 14 points. Team India gained these points after winning the second test match of the five-Test series against England by 151 runs. India got 4 points after the rain flushed almost conquered first Test match against England at Trent Bridge which ended with a draw, while after a tremendous win at Lord's they received 12 points and topped the table. However, India has 14 points instead of 16 as two points were subtracted for slow over-rate.

According to the rules of the World Test Championship, teams will lose one point for reducing an over in the specified time. In each match, 12 points are granted for a win, 6 points for a tie, and 4 points for a draw. Pakistan is after India at 2nd place with 12 points, who defeated West Indies by 109 runs in the second Test to equalize the series. West Indies won their first test match against Pak and they are in third place with 12 points. However, England has only two points and is in 4th position.

Now today the Indian team has a chance to take an unbeatable lead of 2-0 in the five-match series against the hosts England. The third Test match is to be played at Leeds from today. Team India is already leading 1-0 in the series after triumphing the 2nd Test at Lord's. Skipper Virat Kohli will also come out with the aim of making a big score by defeating his poor form that has been going on for a long time. The match will start at 3.30 pm today and Team India will try to continue their winning streak.
