December 8 is very important in protecting the country. This day holds special importance for the forces. On 8 December 1967, the first submarine Kalvari was inducted into the Indian Navy and retired from the Navy on 31 March 1996 after 30 years of national service. It was named after the dangerous tiger shark found in the Indian Ocean.
According to media reports, after this many submarines of different categories became part of the Navy. The latest submarine of the Scorpene class, built indigenously with the cooperation of France, was inducted into the Navy last year and is also named Kalvari. It is considered one of the deadliest submarines in the world. Five more such submarines will be built in India.
A submarine built with the latest technology is a great machine and lives like a silent watchdog under the sea. When needed, it is able to hit the enemy's target and hit it accurately and cause massive destruction.
