Maharashtra: A major accident near Lonavla railway station this morning was fortunately avoided. As many as two coaches of the Indore-Daund special train derailed at Maharashtra's Lonavala station while entering the platform, informed Chief Public Relations Officer (CPRO) Central Railway. Due to this incident, the train service from Mumbai to Pune has been disrupted.  As per the officials, no casualties or injuries have been reported.

 The incident took place around 8 p.m. The railway administration has taken up the task of bringing the derailed coaches back on track. No casualties or injury are reported. Railway services will be restored soon, the administration said.

Railway Relief van is reaching the spot shortly. Other lines at Lonavala are unaffected and attempts for restoration of the line are underway," the officials said. Further details awaited.
