Anything in a business or job, a stable import policy helps anyway in the sales of a product. The same has helped in the sales of exclusive super sports cars in India, Lamborghini. The car is expected to grow double-digit this year.

Sharad Agarwal, Head of Lamborghini India said: "I expect that in 2017, the segment should continue with the double-digit growth that it had last year."

The Head noticed that since 2011 the super sports car segment which includes Mercedes AMG GTS, Audi R8 and Ferrari was declining. After a couple of years in 2015, there was a marginal growth. Estimations told 70 units were sold.

The reasoning behind the growth, Sharad said: "A lot of it has to do with the stability in policies because between 2011 and 2015 there were the lot of changes in the import duties and structures, which were always creating disruptions in the market."

He added "Now things are stabilized. Once things get stabilized, the market starts growing. It is more about consistency and stability."

Huracan Spyder convertible with the rear-wheel drive was launched earlier this month in India. This Italian luxury carmaker is expected to launch two more product this year.
