Jaipur: Retired judge Ajay Kumar Sharma, who sentenced four Jaipur bomb blast convicts to death, has written to the DGP in Rajasthan saying his life is under threat. Justice Ajay Kumar Sharma has asked the DGP of Rajasthan to make security arrangements for his and his family's safety.

It may be noted that serial blasts took place on May 13, 1998, in Jaipur, the accused of which was sentenced to death by Justice Ajay Kumar Sharma. Writing to DGP Bhupendra Singh of Rajasthan, Justice Ajay Kumar Sharma said that according to the IB report, terrorists can take revenge on him and his family at any time. The police line officer said that if his security is being removed, it should be retained.

In his letter, Judge Ajay Sharma said that suspects outside the house are seen and escaped by throwing empty liquor bottles outside the house. Sometimes they stand outside the house and also draw pictures of the house. The judge said that similarly, Neelkanth Ganju had sentenced terrorist Maqbool Bhatt to death in 1984.  After which Judge Ganju was killed on October 2, 1989.
