Chandigarh: After Haryana, the demand has now intensified in Chandigarh that the film, 'The Kashmir Files', which shows the gruesome truth of the Kashmiri genocide, be made tax-free. The Haryana government has already made this film tax-free. CM Manohar Lal Khattar himself had come to watch the film. Manohar Lal Khattar had watched the film with Haryana Assembly Speaker Gian Chand Gupta at a cinema in Panchkula.  

Gupta is the BJP MLA from Panchkula. The film is getting a great response in Chandigarh. Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar, after watching the film, said that the human tragedy that took place in the Kashmir Valley in 1990, the film 'The Kashmir Files' is a lively and poignant portrayal of it. "It has been my privilege to have worked for the organisation in Jammu and Kashmir for a long time, seen and understood the pain and conditions of the people there closely.

In such a situation, now preparations are being made to make the film tax-free in Chandigarh also. Former councillor and BJP leader Shakti Prakash Devshali has written a letter to administrator Banwari Lal Purohit demanding that the film 'The Kashmir Files' be made tax-free in Chandigarh. Which the UT Administration is considering. The Chandigarh administration can also remove tax from this film.
