Over two weeks after its release, The Kerala Story has grossed 203.47 crore at the domestic box office. Despite a modest drop in box office on its third Monday, the film has earned the title of "all-time blockbuster." The Hindi film, directed by Sudipto Sen and starring Adah Sharma, was released in India on May 5. 

The Kerala Story, directed by Vipul Shah, exposes how women from Kerala were compelled to convert and recruited by the terror organisation Islamic State (IS). In addition to Adah, the film stars Yogita Bihani, Sonia Balani, and Siddhi Idnani. The film has caused a polarized political debate in the country.

Sunshine Pictures, the film's production company, said on Monday that The Kerala Story has earned 200 crore nett at the domestic box office. A special showing of The Kerala Story was held last week at the main theatre of the Pune-based Film and Television Institute of India (FTII), despite student protests. Despite the substantial police presence at the site, the FTII Students' Association (FTIISA) launched a protest, saying that the student community was not informed about the show.
