'The Last of Us' is one of the most addictive television series of all time. While fans were anticipating the debut of 'The Last of Us season 2,' it was discovered that production had been delayed. The Writers Guild of America strike appears to be the cause of the delay. Because of the writers' strike, early casting conversations have been put on hold and the second season of Padro Pascal's 'The Last of Us' will be delayed.

The continuing Writers Guild of America (WGA) strike has added Stranger Things, Andor Season 2, and Severance Season 2 to the list of shows that have been pushed back. According to rumors, the ongoing writers' strike by the Writers Guild of America has caused a delay in The Last of Us Season 2 pre-production on HBO. Craig, the show's co-creator and showrunner, is pictured striking with fellow Writers Guild of America (WGA) members. Similarly, the show's co-creator Neil Druckmann is not presently working on the expected season 2.

The casting procedure for the upcoming season was put on hold after it began earlier this week. According to insiders, the casting crew was already urging prospective performers to read passages from The Last of Us Part II before the delay due to a shortage of Season 2 screenplays. The second season will begin production in Vancouver, Canada, in the early months of 2024. The makers of the post-apocalyptic drama television series, Neil Druckmann and Craig Mazin, are now on strike.

Because of its revenge-based storyline, the writers of 'The Last of Us' previously revealed that the show will feature more than two seasons. According to sources, filming was planned to begin late this year or early in 2024. The show's principal actress, Bella Ramsey, has even said that it would launch in late 2024 or early 2025. The Last of Us season one was an achievement, according to both fans and reviewers, and HBO soon authorized a second season. The series' protagonists, Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey, will return, it has been confirmed.
