Tokyo: The RX, a mid-size SUV from Japanese luxury automaker Lexus, has been made available in India for a starting price of Rs. 95.8 lakh (ex-showroom). On our shore, the coupe-SUV is available in two trim levels: RX 350h and RX 500h F SPORT Performance. Recall that the Auto Expo 2023 in January saw the opening of the order books for the four-wheeler.

Most automakers have been busy releasing new SUV models on our soil as the Indian market's focus has shifted in recent years towards SUVs.

The Lexus RX is the most recent addition to the lengthy list. The mid-size luxury SUV, which is currently in its fifth generation, is also available in a hybrid version to appeal to customers who are concerned about the environment.

The 2023 Lexus RX, which is based on the upgraded GA-K platform, has a futuristic, angular design.

The SUV has a sculpted bonnet, the'spindle grille,' sleek LED headlights with boomerang-shaped DRLs, a sloping roofline, black roof rails, 19-inch alloy wheels, a roof-mounted spoiler, a shark-fin antenna, and connected LED taillamps. It comes in ten different colours.

The interior of the 2023 Lexus RX features a sporty yet opulent five-seater cabin built on the 'Tazuna' or human-centered design philosophy.

The SUV comes equipped with a multifunctional steering wheel, a panoramic sunroof, multi-zone climate control, ambient lighting, a head-up display, a wireless charger, and premium leather upholstery in a choice of six colours. A 14.0-inch touchscreen infotainment panel is included.

The 2023 Lexus RX is outfitted with the most recent Lexus Safety System+ for the protection of passengers. The system's third iteration includes a number of ADAS features, including Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist, Lane Keep Assist, and Lane Tracing Assist, as well as a Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection and Brake Assist. Additionally, the SUV has 9 airbags.

The RX500h F SPORT Performance trim of the 2023 Lexus RX is powered by a 2.4-liter, four-cylinder, turbocharged petrol engine (366hp/460Nm). A 2.5-liter, inline-four gasoline engine with a mild hybrid system (266 hp/242 Nm) powers the RX350h model.
